GuardAxon

GuardAxon, a tool that is offered for free by The Geneosoft Team, can be used to encrypt and decrypt files. The tool uses several algorithms to encrypt files: BlowFish, Twofish, AES-256, and more. If you want to, you can also use GuardAxon to encrypt text. And last but not least, you can use GuardAxon to calculate the checksum of any file you want.

GuardAxon is available as an installer and as a portable version. No matter which version you choose to get, you will quickly get GuardAxon up and running on your Windows-powered computer. The splash that GuardAxon displays at launch tells you if you’re using the regular GuardAxon version or the Portable GuardAxon version.

GuardAxon has an Explorer-like interface. The panel on the left displays all your folders and drives; select a folder for example and its contents will be displayed by the panel on the right hand side. Down at the bottom, below these two panels, there’s a section that allows you to pick the encryption algorithm, choose to encrypt a file, choose to encrypt text, and access all the other features and functions that GuardAxon has to offer.

To better put things in perspective, I am going to list said features and functions: pick one of many encryption algorithms; choose the password that will be used for the encryption; archive files; encrypt and decrypt files; encrypt and decrypt text; calculate a file’s checksum (multiple hash algorithms are supported); pick the language the interface uses.
